FX's recent foray into animated television will see another season, and a longer season at that. According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX has picked up Archer for a second season.

The series, which just concluded its first season last Thursday, was given a 13-episode order, up from just a seven-episode order in its first season.

"It truly earned a second season," said Nick Grad, executive vp original programming at FX. "(It has) one of the best voice casts of any animated series on TV. We're very happy with the audience response and critical acclaim for Archer, and are excited to move forward with it."

Archer, created by Adam Reed, stars the voices of H. Jon Benjamin, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Aisha Tyler and Jessica Walter. The series takes a look at the humorous exploits of employees at spy organization.
