Gale Anne Hurd has acquired Nameless for her own Valhalla Motion Pictures banner. Chris Bullet wrote the spec script, which is based on the government's Witness Protection program.

The thriller finds a group of assassins targeting a key witness who has been hidden away inside a top-secret U.S. facility that serves to protect those going to trial. When the area is compromised, the marshal and his inhabitants take a stand to save the witness from being murdered.

Here is what Gale Anne Hurd had to say about the project.

"I love that it's character driven. That is very important to me. And secondly, I'm attracted to material about ordinary people who are facing extraordinary circumstances who find the strength within them to fight against impossible odds."

Nameless was written as a modern day Western. Valhalla Motion Pictures will develop and produce the movie, possibly seeking independent financing. There is no word on when production will kick into gear.
