It may be hard to believe, but Season 6 of Game of Thrones reaches its halfway point with this week's episode The Door, airing Sunday, May 22 at 9 PM ET on HBO. Some fans are still in shock over the fiery finale of last week's Book of the Stranger, making the short wait until The Door airs even more excruciating. To help ease your pain, HBO has released seven new photos, which offer some intriguing details, along with our latest look at the villainous Night's King. If you aren't caught up with this season yet, there will be SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

In one of the few early trailers released by HBO before this season debuted, one of the most compelling pieces of footage shown featured Bran Stark turning around to see the Night's King, which happens in one of these new photos. The Night's King first surfaced in the Season 5 episode Hardhome, where he brought an undead army to life right before Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) eyes. Many fans noticed that Bran was standing in this footage, which Bran hasn't been able to do for years since he was pushed out of a tower by Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in the pilot episode. As many fans speculated, the new trailer that debuted on Sunday night revealed that Bran's encounter with the Night's King was part of a greensight vision he was having, which Meera (Ellie Kendrick) is seen trying to wake Bran up from in the trailer.

The brief synopsis for The Door reveals that Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) seeks a "strange ally," which may be the mysterious red priestess we saw in the trailer. We get a better look at this character, Kinvara, played by Ania Bukstein, in these new photos, who is seen wearing a similar necklace worn by Melisandre (Carice Van Houten). We learned in the Season 6 premiere that this necklace actually disguises Melisandre's true form, as a wrinkled, ancient woman. We saw in the trailer that Kinvara tells both Tyrion and Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) that knowledge has made them powerful, but there is still much they don't know.

The photos also feature two different reunions, in completely different parts of this mystical world. One image shows Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) reuniting with Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish, although it doesn't seem to be a pleasant one. The trailer for this week's episode shows Sansa confronting Petyr, asking him if he knew about how horrible her husband Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) truly was. We also see Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) back together with her lover Daario Naharis (Michiel Huisman), after Dany's fiery finale in last week's episode, where she burned a building to the ground, killing Khal Moro (Joe Naufahu) and other Dothraki leaders.

We also get a new look at Jon Snow, who is suiting up to help Sansa take back Winterfell from the Bolton clan, while Arya visits the Hall of Faces in the House of Black and White. The brief synopsis also reveals that Ayra will be given a chance to prove herself once again, but we don't know what that means quite yet. While we continue the countdown towards Sunday night's episode, check out the new photos below.
