It's only been a few weeks since Game of Thrones Season 6 came to a close, with fans now starting the agonizing wait for Season 7. The lengthy haul between seasons can feel as long as a Westeros winter, but thankfully we have a few things to tide us over. Earlier this week, HBO debuted a video featuring Samuel L. Jackson offering a concise and hilarious recap of the first six seasons of the HBO series, and today, we have another tiny tidbit to tide us over in the off-season, which involves Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson).

The Mountain was killed towards the end of Season 4, during a trial by combat match where he fought Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal). While The Mountain killed Oberyn first, crushing his skull, Martell had his weapons laced with poison, which killed The Mountain after his victory. After The Mountain's death, Qyburn (Anton Lesser) claimed he could bring him back to life, spending practically all of Season 5 on trying to resurrect The Mountain, until he returned wearing a large helmet that covered his entire face in the Season 5 finale. Earlier today, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson revealed a behind-the-scenes photo on Twitter, showing just how hideous The Mountain's face is underneath that mask.

The Mountain only took his helmet off once, in the Season 6 finale when Cersei had captured Septon Unella (Hannah Waddingham) and called in The Mountain to torture the woman who made Cersei endure her walk of shame at the end of Season 5. The Mountain removes his helmet in front of her, and while we don't get a good look at his face in this scene, we get a much better look in this image. It remains to be seen if The Mountain will ever take off his helmet in full view of other characters in Season 7.

This season also revealed that The Mountain's brother, Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann) is alive and well. We last saw the Hound at the end of Season 4, when he was cut down by Brienne of Tarth and left for dead, as Arya left him behind and fled to the House of Black and White. As it turns out, The Hound was rescued by Ian McShane's Septon Ray, but at the end of the seventh episode, Ray was slaughtered along with the rest of his followers. Many fans were hoping that The Hound's resurrection could mean that the "CleganeBowl" is coming.

Fans of George R.R. Martin's books have been clamoring for "Cleganebowl," where The Hound will square off against his brother, The Mountain, for quite some time. While we know The Mountain will continue to guard over Cersei Lannister, we don't know exactly what The Hound may be planning, although it's possible that he could return to King's Landing, perhaps to square off with his brother and his other enemies. We also know that Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is back in Westeros, so we'll have to wait and see if The Hound may run into her as well. While we wait for more details on Season 7 of Game of Thrones, take a look at this behind-the-scenes photo below.
