Over the past few years, Game of Thrones' Comic-Con panel would often feature the announcement of several new cast members for the upcoming season. This year, that didn't happen, but now we have details on one new cast member. Entertainment Weekly has revealed that UnREAL star Freddie Stroma has signed on to play Dickon Tarly, the younger brother of John Bradley's Samwell Tarly. It isn't known when exactly this character will first appear in Game of Thrones Season 6.

George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones books don't reveal too much about Dickon, except that he is said to be more physically capable than his brother. Their father, Lord Randyll Tarly, forced Sam to choose between death or joining the Night's Watch, so his brother Dickon could be his heir instead of Sam. At the end of Game of Thrones Season 5, Sam left the Night's Watch with Gilly (Hannah Murray), so he could study to become a maester.

The only other new cast members who have been confirmed so far are Max von Sydow as the Three-Eyed Raven and Ian McShane in an unspecified role. There have been rumors that Ian McShane is actually playing Randyll Tarly, but we don't have confirmation on his character's identity yet. We also reported earlier this week that Pilou Asbæk has been spotted on the set, rumored to be playing Euron Greyjoy, but that hasn't been confirmed either.

Now that the Game of Thrones series has caught up with the books, fans of both the show and the books have no idea what to expect this season. It isn't known how many episodes Dickon Tarly will appear in, but we'll be sure to keep you posted with more details as production continues. HBO hasn't announced exactly when the season will debut yet, but we'll see new episodes sometime in spring 2016.

Freddie Stroma currently stars in Lifetime TV's UnREAL. On the big screen, he previously starred as Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. His other movie credits include Pitch Perfect, The Inbetweeners 2 and Pitch Perfect 2. Are you looking forward to seeing Dickon Tarly's story unfold this season?
