One of the new characters introduced to fans in Game of Thrones Season 6 was Pilou Asbaek's Euron Greyjoy, the uncle to Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), who killed their father Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) and ultimately took the Salt Throne as the Iron Island ruler. He only appeared in two episodes in Season 6, and while he certainly was portrayed as a ruthless character from the get-go, the actor revealed in a new interview that fans will have no idea what to expect from this guy. Here's what he had to say in a recent interview, when asked about the new sides to his character fans will see, hinting that he will far surpass the treachery of another famed villain on the show.

"The psychos I've encountered have so many different sides to them. So each scene I've done with Euron, I pick a new thing I wanna show. 'This scene I want to be charming.' 'This scene I wanna be a molester.' 'This scene I wanna kill someone.' After this season, Ramsay Bolton is gonna look like a little kid."

Euron Greyjoy was last seen claiming that Yara and Theon won't get too far, shortly after both siblings made their escape while he was being crowned the new king of the Iron Islands. His claims proved inaccurate, though, as they made it to Slaver's Bay, where the siblings struck an alliance with Daenerys Targaryen, as Yara and Theon provided her with enough ships to sail to Westeros. Daenerys then promises to help these siblings defeat their treacherous uncle. Daenerys was last seen in the Season 6 finale setting sail for Westeros with this fleet of ships to stake her claim to the Iron Throne.

These new details come from Empire Magazine's (courtesy of Winter Is Coming) preview of the show, which also confirms previous reports that Jim Broadbent is playing Archmaester Marwyn, a character from George R.R. Martin's novels who will most likely be training Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) to become a maester. However, for fans hoping for a Jon Snow/Samwell Tarly reunion, that doesn't seem to be in the cards. Here's what John Bradley had to say below.

"Jon and Samwell have said goodbye a lot. But you felt there was a finality to that last goodbye between them. This season I've never felt more cast into the wilderness, really."

This report also hints at some tension between siblings Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), the new Queen of Westeros, and Jamie Lannister, with Cersei adopting a black and silver color scheme while Jamie still wears the traditional colors of House Lannister, red and gold. This season, Cersei will also be seeking suitors for a new king, while Jamie must "step up and take his father's place." Sophie Turner also teased that her character Sansa Stark has some "newfound power" but not as much as Jon Snow (Kit Harington), who was named the new King In the North at the end of Season 6. Sophie Turner also hinted that this season is all about her struggles with this power disparity. She also teased that characters who have never met before on the show will be forming alliances throughout the season. Game of Thrones Season 7 debuts Sunday, July 16 at 9 PM ET on HBO.
