According to The Hollywood Reporter, Online video game rental company GameFly has added movies to its catalog of available titles -- but only those available on the new UMD format used by Sony's PlayStation Portable game and entertainment device.
"Our customers were requesting it, and we listen to them," said Sean Spector, GameFly co-founder and vp marketing and business development. "Obviously, we have a very dedicated and vocal gamer audience, and the PSP is a very sexy device that is doing well."
He added that GameFly will not be expanding into DVD rentals because that would dilute its focus. Spector said his customers are "on the go", and the service's convenience suits that lifestyle.
