Gary Rubin's First Independent Pictures and HBO Video have bought the rights to the Tribeca Film Festival hit Mini's First Time.

The film is written and directed by Nick Guthe, and stars Nikki Reed, Alec Baldwin, Luke Wilson, Jeff Goldblum, Carrie-Anne Moss, Rick Fox, and Svetlana Metkina. The dark comedy follows a teen who's attracted to the seedier side of L.A. nightlife. Variety adds after she begins a sexual relationship with her stepfather, the duo scheme to have the teen's mother committed to a mental institution.

A summer release is scheduled for Mini's First Time; HBO will release the film on DVD. It will also open the Solstice Film Festival in St. Paul, Minnesota on July 21st.
