CBS Paramount has struck a new deal with CSI: NY star Gary Sinise that could keep the actor on the crime-solving series until 2011, according to Variety.
The studio previously had an option that locked Sinise to CSI: NY though spring 2010. In exchange for adding another year to that option, the studio has bumped up Sinise's salary to around $5 million per year, translating into a per-episode fee in the low-$200,000s range.
The deal with Sinise comes despite that CBS has not renewed CSI: NY beyond the current season.
CSI: NY began its fourth season on CBS last month.
