Director Thor Freudenthal (Diary of a Wimpy Kid) has signed on to direct the family adventure pic Geek Dad, which the Gotham Group and Gaeta/Rosenzweig Films are partnering to produce.
The project is based on the book by Ken Denmead, which was released last year as "Geek Dad: Awesomely Geeky Pr-ojects and Activities for Dads and Kids to Share." The author's second GeekDad book, "GeekDad's Guide to Weekend Fun" is scheduled for release next week.
