Follow the official Gemini Man Instagram page for more updates! As of this moment there is only one new image, which shows Will Smith and And Lee with netting covering their faces. Will Smith offers this direct from the set as film begins to roll on his latest adventure into the unknown.

"First week on my new film Gemini Man Movie!! Ang Lee got me out here fighting the wildlife."

Over on Will Smith's own personal Instagram, he's shared a first video, where he explains that he is reporting live from his first day of shooting on the movie, and he still has that green netting over his face. The team is shooting in Georgia.

"I love Georgia, but ya'll gotta do something about the bugs! It's so gorgeous here. It really is, but you gotta rock this (bleep) to be out here. I'm just saying, ya'll need to fix it! Because I sprayed Off! on, the bugs is on that like it's honey. I make my living with my face. So...Somebody do something about it. Quick."

Will Smith proceeds to show off the swarm of bugs that have infiltrated the set, and it looks pretty heavy. There's no indication that these bugs are playing any perceived role in the action thriller, and appear to be mostly an on-set nuisance.

Gemini Man has been gestating for quite some time, and was set up over at Disney for awhile. It arrived as a pitch by Darren Lemke in 1997, when the late Tony Scott was going to direct. The initial production start was later announced as far back as 2010, over eight years ago. Director Ang Lee became attached to the project in 2016, after he finished work on the acclaimed drama Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk. That movie was known for shooting and projection in the frame rate of 120 frames per second, five times faster than the normal rate of 24 frames per second. It hasn't been announced if he's doing the same with Gemini Man, but if he is, it will look like those bugs are right up in your own face, and you'll have to bring a net to the theater.

Ang Lee won Academy Awards for his directing work on Brokeback Mountain and Life of Pi, and has also been nominated for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Will Smith was most recently seen in the huge Netflix hit Bright and battled alongside some classic DC villains as Deadshot in Suicide Squad. After Gemini Man, he is set to return in Bright 2, with Suicide Squad still in the pre-production phases. Take a look as Will Smith tries to avoid being swallowed by an army of bugs.
