Colin MacKinnon's novel Morning Spy, Evening Spy has been optioned for a theatrical adaptation by Rifkin-Eberts. According to Variety, George Hickenlooper is going to direct the espionage thriller.

The book follows the adventures of a senior CIA agent who gets assigned to the Middle East right before the 9/11 attacks. He tries to overcome the loss of his child and the break-up of his marriage by focusing on the capture of Osama bin Laden. His search and destroy mission brings him within meters of Laden and terrorist Mohammad Atta days before the attacks occur.

The film does not have a scheduled shooting date at this time.
