FirstShowing has posted a new unsubstantiated rumor about George Lucas' upcoming producing effort. The new rumor indicates that Lucas is unhappy with director Anthony Hemmingway's work on Red Tails, the World War II film about the historic Tuskegee Airmen, and that Lucas himself will come aboard to direct the "massive reshoots."

The rumor also states that Lucas and his producing partner Rick McCallum are currently delving through the dailies looking for any possible footage they can use and it was also said that script rewrites will take place as well.

It wasn't said when or where the reshoots will take place, and the film doesn't have a locked release date as of yet, so we're not quite sure when we might be seeing this film in theaters. Of course, none of this has been confirmed by LucasFilm as of yet, so we'll be sure to keep you updated on any more news on this film.

Red Tails stars Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Bryan Cranston, Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Tristan Wilds, Kevin Phillips, Andre Royo and Elijah Kelley.
