Entertainment Weekly reports that the George Lucas produced Red Tails is not having the production problems it was previously thought to have.

Last week it was reported that the WWII film about African American soldiers was in trouble, and that director Anthony Hemingway had severely compromised this film. It was even reported that Lucas had to come in and help out in the director's chair.

Of course Lucasfilm said these reports were "inaccurate."

However, it seems that the film did need some reshoots but Hemingway had already committed himself to direct David Simon's HBO show, Treme. It was then that Lucas and producer Rick McCallum decided that he would direct the reshoots with Hemingway giving final approval.
