You'll be able to take a look at one of cinema's founding fathers on DVD this March.

According to Home Media Magazine, Georges Melies: First Wizard of Cinema will come to DVD on March 11. This five-disc set will feature a whopping 173 rare films from the director, spanning his career from 1896 to 1913. The set will also include Le Grande Melies, an 1953 English-language tribute to the filmmaker. The set will be priced at $89.98.

While we don't have the cover art or special features listings, the article said that all of the films have been digitally cleaned and stabilized and all of the music has been re-created. Among the films included are his first film film, Patie de Cartes, his last, Voyage de la Famille Bourrichon, as well as such masterpieces as 1902's A Trip to the Moon
