Radar Pictures has announced a feature film adaptation of Geronimo Stilton, based on the children's book series of the same name. Award-winning animation filmmaker David Soren (Turbo, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, Under the Boardwalk) has signed on to write and direct the film about a mouse who works as a newspaper editor on New Mouse Island. As a fan of the books, Soren has expressed his excitement in adapting the story for the screen.

Anthony Tringali, who's producing with Micahel Napoliello and Maria Frisk, added, "The Geronimo Stilton books are so wonderfully witty and you immediately fall in love with the characters. The movie will bring audiences of all ages on an unforgettable and hilarious journey full of action, heart, and mousy misadventures."
Geronimo Stilton was created by Italian author Elisabetta Dami. It has been featured in over 300 books and translated into more than 50 languages, as well as graphic novels, an animate series, eight live stage productions, video games, toys, and more. The original books have sold more than 180 million copies in 150 countries. That kind of success has Radar Pictures and Soren clearly hopeful that the story of Geronimo Stilton will translate just as well on the big screen.
Geronimo Stilton Is Getting a Feature Film
The project is a collaboration between Radar Pictures and Atlantyca Entertainment. Atlantyca President Pietro Marietti also addressed the announcement of the feature film adaptation, thrilled to see this story branching out even further with the franchise's expansion.

The Geronimo Stilton movie does not yet have a release date for movie theaters.
