Today, we get our second official look at the Ghostbusters 2016 reboot, with the four main leads Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon armed with their proton packs and ready for battle. The image was released to the true Ghostbusters fans first, arriving on ProtonCharging's official Fan Facebook Page. The girls stand in the lobby of a hotel, surrounded by a familiar green light.

The supporting cast includes Chris Hemsworth as the Ghostbusters' secretary and Andy Garcia as the Mayor of New York City, alongside Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Pat Kiernan and Neil Casey. Previously announced stars from the 1984 classic include Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver and Ernie Hudson. Though, this group of originals will not be reprising their iconic roles. This new Ghostbusters takes place in an alternate universe where the first team of ghost chasers simply didn't exist.

Bill Murray is believed to be playing a a man out to debunk the girls and their ghosts theories. Dan Aykroyd is playing a cab driver who gives Kristen Wiig a lift. It has also been rumored that Dan Aykroyd will get to say the iconic line, 'I aint afraid of no ghosts.' Nothing has been revealed about who Ernie Hudson is playing, but since the other original actors aren't reprising their roles, it's clear that Ernie Hudson isn't returning as Winston Zeddmore.

Sony hasn't released an official synopsis yet, but there have been rumors that Kristen Wiig's Erin Gilbert wrote a book with Melissa McCarthy's Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), where they posited that ghosts are real. Erin loses her teaching job at Columbia University once word of her book resurfaces, and she re-teams with Abby and her new partner, Jillian Holtzman (Kate McKinnon) and Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones). Together, they must save New York from a supernatural threat. Director Paul Feig essentially confirmed that the iconic ghost Slimer will be back, posting a photo of some green slime just before filming started in June.

Paul Feig is directing from a script he co-wrote with Katie Dippold, with Sony setting a July 22, 2016 release date for this remake. Last month artist and original Ghostbusters producer Michael C. Gross passed away. He designed the iconic No Ghosts logo, which will once again be utilized in this film as one of the few untouched call backs to the original universe. Take a look at the four ladies as they prepare for an onslaught of ghost hunting next summer. This latest photo surely only means one thing. That the first official trailer is coming soon!
