The exciting Gilmore Girls news just doesn't quit! After several returning cast members were announced yesterday, we now have word that Supernatural star Jared Padalecki will return as Dean Forester. At this time, we don't have any specifics about his role in the plot.

Dean Forester had the notorious distinction of being Rory's (Alexis Bledel) first boyfriend. Though they broke up, he remained a constant fixture in her life, and is always remembered as 'the perfect first boyfriend'. They would eventually get back together three different times. But Jared Padalecki left the show in Season 5.

Jared Padalecki starred on the pilot episode of Gilmore Girls, and was the new kid at Stars Hallow High School. He's responsible for Rory's first kiss. But when Dean tells Rory that he loves her, and she doesn't respond, nothing is ever the same between the two. Will Dean and Rory eventually become the star crossed lovers they were always meant to be? We'll have to wait and see.
