Haywire star Gina Carano is in negotiations to star in The Fast and the Furious 6 for Universal Pictures and director Justin Lin.

Franchise stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are returning, along with Dwayne Johnson, who portrayed Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs in Fast Five. Gina Carano will play a member of Luke Hobbs' team.

Justin Lin will direct from a screenplay by Chris Morgan. No plot details have been released, but the sequel is said to revolve around another heist. Neal H. Moritz is producing alongside Vin Diesel.
