What do a high-end New England town, wolfsbane, and a horse named Milkshake all have in common? They can all be found in the first season of Netflix's Ginny & Georgia. The series follows Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) and her children Virginia "Ginny" (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) as they move to a new town after the death of her husband Kenny (Darryl Scheelar). However, nothing is as it seems as the past catches up with them.

After Ginny & Georgia was watched by 52 million users in its first month on the platform, Netflix renewed it for another season last April. The video announcement by the cast hinted at things getting weird in Wellsbury, but what could that mean? The town already had some pretty odd things happening, from strange mayoral races to underground poker rings. What else could happen?

The first season ended at a high point, with family secrets revealed and people forging their own paths, but what will happen in the next installment remains to be seen. Here are just three of the many things we hope to see when Ginny & Georgia returns to our screens.

Ginny and Austin Come Home

Netflix

The season ended with Ginny and Austin getting on a motorcycle and leaving, much like how Georgia originally left her family at age fifteen. They left after they found out many (but not all) of the secrets Georgia had been hiding from her kids. These secrets include the entire maternal family they never knew about, that she wasn't sending Austin's letters to his father in prison, and that she may be (was) the reason their last step-dad Kenny died.

The audience doesn't know where the pair is going, especially because Ginny's father Zion (Nathan Mitchell) is close by now. It feels like they're traveling farther than that. Are they headed back to Texas? To meet their paternal grandparents? They could be going anywhere. If they don't come home, the second season may be in split time, with Austin and Ginny wherever they end up and Georgia in Wellsbury dealing with the aftermath.

In flashbacks, the viewers saw how hard it was for Georgia when she initially left home, and her kids deserve better than that. Ginny and Austin shouldn't relive the life Georgia did, but it's worrying that they may not break the generational cycle if they choose not to return to Massachusets.

MANG Makes Up

MANG, the friend group of Max (Sara Waisglass), Abby (Katie Douglas), Norah (Chelsea Clark), and Ginny, fractured in the final episodes. Max and Norah were still friends, but Abby and Ginny were banished. Ginny was ejected for sleeping with Max's brother Marcus (Felix Mallard) and keeping it a secret, and Abby for learning about Ginny's secret and not telling Max about it. This wasn't the only time that the friend group felt disjointed throughout the season, but it seemed to be the catalyst for a more permanent split.

If Ginny comes back, it will take a grand gesture to win Max over. Max was extremely hurt to find Ginny had been having a relationship with her twin for nearly the entire duration of their friendship, which takes time to overcome. This hurt, combined with a fresh breakup, has put Max in an incredibly delicate position. Depending on how much time has passed since the victory party, Abby could be back in the friend group, but it probably won't be as hard for her to gain Max's forgiveness due to their history. While time may help Ginny win Max back, and Max worrying over her missing friend may soften her up, it will take thought and effort to get back in her good graces.

Joe Comes Clean

Netflix

Season 1 ended with Joe (Raymond Ablack), the owner of the Blue Farm Café, realizing Georgia is the same Georgia he shared a sandwich with at a rest stop all those years ago. She left a lasting impression on him in their short interaction, enough that he seems overcome with emotion when he puts the pieces together. Remember, he even named one of his horses Milkshake after the horse Georgia wanted.

Just as he's about to talk to Georgia, he's interrupted by Ellen (Jennifer Robertson), asking about her engagement to Mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter). This seems to really take Joe aback, resulting in him taking a break from work. Had Joe intended to confess his feelings to Georgia? Is he too late?

At the very least, Joe should tell Georgia he knows who she is and that he remembers how they met. Georgia seems to know something, though it's unclear if she has realized where she knows him from. Does Georgia have any hidden feelings for him? How could a revelation from Joe change her engagement to Paul? At the very least, Joe should speak his truth and not hold back, especially if he wants to reconnect with her.

While there is no release date yet for season 2, fans are hoping the news drops soon. Until then, we can only speculate what will happen with the (firework) ash settles in Wellsbury.
