In a story from The Hollywood Reporter Tyler Perry has recently cast seven-time Grammy winner Gladys Knight in his next film I Can Do Bad All by Myself.
Gospel performance winner Marvin Winans and Adam Rodriguez have also been cast in the project. Another Grammy winner, Mary J. Blige, will also be in the film.
Knight will play the role of Wilma, a woman who runs in the same circles as the infamous Madea (Perry).

Based on one of his early plays the production will feature Perry, Taraji P. Henson, Brian White, Hope Olaide Wilson, Kwesi Nii-Lante Boakye and Frederick Siglar.
In the film, Madea stops a home invasion and sends the offenders to live with Aunt April (Wilson).
Currently shooting at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta the film is set to bow September 11 of this year.
