Thomas Wheeler's fantasy novel entitled The Arcanum is finally being made into a movie. It was earlier dropped by Miramax. According to Variety, Gold Circle Films has now picked up the rights to this potential franchise.

The story is set in 1919, and it revolves around a secret society comprised of that era's leading occult investigators. They include Arthur Conan Doyle, Harry Houdini, H.P. Lovecraft and Marie Laveau. In the film, they must battle a serial killer of angels.

Gold Circle's Paul Brooks recently said that they are looking for a director. There is no word on when the film will get made.
