The long-running (for Netflix, especially) comedy series Grace and Frankie will take a bow this month with the release of season 7B, premiering the very last episodes on April 29. Going out with a bang, and releasing the final episodes also officially sets the record for Grace and Frankie to become the longest-running Netflix original series. Netflix has teased “one more happy ending” for the duo with the new official trailer, which you can check out below ahead of the premiere.

You can also read the official synopsis for season 7B as follows:

Seven years ago, Grace and Frankie’s lives turned upside down when their longtime husbands left them for… each other. Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, Grace and Frankie formed an unlikely and unbreakable bond as they faced uncertain futures head-on, and hand-in-hand. They’ve laughed together, cried together, did shrooms together, and twice-over became successful entrepreneurs together. A history-making 94 episodes later, Grace and Frankie continue to show themselves, their families, and their fans what it means to live life to the fullest, fearlessly and unapologetically. Here’s to seven seasons of laughs, tears, mood-enhancers, and good vibes. And, as Grace and Frankie would say, fuck it. This may be their final chapter, but they’re just getting started.

The show was created by Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris. The pair also served as showrunners and executive produced with Robbie Tollin, Hannah KS Canter, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Marcy Ross, Paula Weinstein, and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost. Skydance Television produced.

Dolly Parton Will Reunite With Her 9 to 5 Co-Stars

Grace & Frankie
Netflix

Grace and Frankie stars Jane Fonda (Grace), Lily Tomlin (Frankie), Martin Sheen (Robert), Sam Waterston (Sol), Baron Vaughn (Nwabudike), Ethan Embry (Coyote), Brooklyn Decker (Mallory), June Diane Raphael (Brianna), Peter Cambor (Barry), Lindsey Kraft (Allison), Marsha Mason (Arlene), Tim Bagley (Peter), Peter Gallagher (Nick Skolka), Millicent Martin (as Joan-Margaret), and Christine Woods (Jessica).

There will be a major guest star coming into the final episodes as well. It was previously reported that Dolly Parton would be coming in for a special appearance, reuniting with Fonda and Tomlin. The three had previously starred in the hit comedy film 9 to 5, and although they had planned on developing a follow-up, the sequel never came to fruition. Through Grace and Frankie, the three will still be finding a way to reunite on screen. Perhaps there will be more to come from the three in the future, outside of 9 to 5 and Grace and Frankie.

The final season of Grace and Frankie was split into two halves, with the first half of season 7 premiering on Netflix back in August 2021. The very last episodes of the seventh season of Grace and Frankie, dubbed season 7B, will start streaming on April 29, 2022, only on Netflix. You can find all of the previous episodes streaming now.
