John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John reunited as Danny and Sandy from Grease. This marks the first time that the duo have been in costume as the characters since they made the movie in 1978. Newton-John wore Sandy's yellow skirt with a white blouse while Travolta wore all black with a leather jacket. The two were later spotted both wearing leather jackets. Newton-John and Travolta took part in the "Meet n' Grease" sing-along event at the Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday evening.

Olivia Newton-John was very excited about the reunion, even though she and John Travolta are still very close. She posted an image of the two on social media and said, "First time in costume since we made the movie! So excited!!" Fans of Grease will be happy to see that Newton-John, who has been battling cancer, and Travolta look pretty much like they did back in 1978. In addition, reviews of the event praise Newton-John and Travolta for still being able to deliver the high notes when singing the world-famous songs from the movie.

Olivia Newton John got on stage to perform "Hopelessly Devoted to You," while John Travolta sang "Sandy." He later joined the male chorus in a version of "Greased Lightnin.'" In case fans in Florida want to see the "Meet n' Grease," there is an event tonight in Tampa (December 14th) and Jacksonville on December 15th. So far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive over the Grease reunion.

Last month, Olivia Newton-John auctioned off the leather jacket she wore in Grease to raise money for cancer research. A fan bought Sandy's leather Grease jacket for $243,000 and promptly returned it to the actress. The leather jacket is now on display at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Center in Melbourne, Australia. This is the third time the actress has battled cancer after beating it twice over the years. Newton-John is still in great spirits and is fighting it again with a positive attitude. John Travolta recently had this to say about Newton-John's latest battle.

"She's doing great. And she looks fantastic! I'm so proud of her... I mean, have you ever seen anyone look like that?"

Grease hit theaters in 1978 and quickly became the biggest big screen musical of its time. The Grease soundtrack went on to become the second highest selling album of the year, while John Travolta's Saturday Night Fever took the number one spot, thanks to the Bee Gees. There is currently a Grease prequel called Summer Nights in the works, which will be about Danny and Sandy's summer romance. Travolta and Olivia Newton John are still close after all of these years and make sure to get together when they can. "We were together not that long ago, about three months ago, and we text each other all the time," said Travolta in a summer interview.
