Good god, what is this? Some form of human torture or pure, unadulterated madness built in a science lab to drive normal folks insane? Only from the tainted minds of The Drafthouse's Tim League, cult director Ben Wheatley and actor Elijah Wood could this thing crawl. And crawl it does, right down the center of your spine. It's the first trailer for Director Jim Hosking's The Greasy Strangler.

This Los Angeles-set tale follows Ronnie, a man who runs a disco walking tour along with his browbeaten son, Brayden. When a sexy, alluring woman named Janet comes to take the tour, it begins a competition between father and son for her attentions. It also brings about the appearance of an oily, slimy, inhuman maniac who stalks the streets at night and strangles the innocent-soon dubbed The Greasy Strangler.

Flush your expectations down the toilet, because you have never seen a slasher film or a father-son comedy like this before. Director Jim Hosking (The ABCs of Death 2) has made an outrageously off-kilter feature film debut that is equal parts disgusting, offensive, and manically entertaining. Featuring performances by Michael St. Michaels, Sky Elobar, and Elizabeth De Razzo that are destined for cult status.

The Greasy Strangler also enlists a dream team of talent behind the camera, including a deliriously fun score by Andrew Hung of Fuck Buttons. And a few of the most prominent genre film producers from across the globe. These include Theo Brooks, Tim League, Ben Wheatley, Andrew Starke, Ant Timpson, Josh C. Waller, Daniel Noah, and Elijah Wood. Literally, this is like nothing you have ever seen before.

Jim Hosking and Toby Harvard wrote this trash masterpiece that is sure to be a cult favorite and a future staple at Midnight movie showings. It had its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2016, and managed to shock the usually unmoving crowds at SXSW 2016. The movie doesn't open in theaters until October 7th, arriving the same day on VOD, just in time for the Halloween season. Until then, we'll have to be content with this teaser trailer courtesy of Youtube, which is sure to make your skin crawl right off your bones! It has been rated G. Though, not for general audiences...But for excessive greasiness!
