Two years after debuting at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, Eli Roth's The Green Inferno is finally getting ready to invade theaters across the country next weekend. To prepare yourself for this gory onslaught, Blumhouse Tilt has released the first red band clip that takes us inside the brutal world of a cannibalistic cult. While there is no R-rated language or frontal nudity, this clip is not for the faint of heart, and shouldn't be watched by anyone under the age of 18.

How far would you go for a cause you believe in? In Eli Roth's terrifying new film, The Green Inferno, a group of college students take their humanitarian protest from New York to the Amazon jungle only to be taken prisoner by the indigenous tribe they came to save. The Green Inferno marks Eli Roth's return to directing for the big screen for the first time since his Hostel franchise, and tells the story of what happens when "slacktavism," the well-meaning social media response to global catastrophes, turns into terror in the depths of the Amazon rainforest.

Dark and primitive customs still rule the Amazon jungle: cannibalism and other mind, body and soul-destroying rituals. Trapped in the village, these high-tech modern-world students experience the ultimate in primal barbaric terror, suffering unspeakable acts of violence in an intense and chilling rituals reserved only for the most threatening intruders. The cast includes Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Aaron Burns, Daryl Sabara, Kirby Bliss Blanton and Magda Apanowicz.

Eli Roth directs from a script he co-wrote with Guillermo Amoedo. The writers previously worked together on Aftershock and Eli Roth's next directorial offering, Knock, Knock, which hits theaters on October 9. The Green Inferno was initially slated for release last September, but it was delayed indefinitely by Worldview Entertainment after a shake-up in that company's front office. In June, the director announced he is teaming up with Jason Blum's Blumhouse Tilt to finally bring this thriller to theaters.

The Green Inferno will go up against the animated sequel Hotel Transylvania 2, the comedy The Intern and the crime thriller Sicario, which expands nationwide on September 25 after debuting in limited release this weekend. Check out this gruesome clip from The Green Inferno and let us know if you think this gory film is just too much for you to stomach. Stay tuned for more footage as we get closer to next week's release.
