As the televised trial involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues, one of the former's co-stars from the Pirates of the Caribbean series has made it clear who he supports in the legal battle. Greg Ellis, who played Lieutenant Commander Theodore Groves in the Pirates films, has been pretty outspoken on Twitter about the entire ordeal. He writes off Heard's allegations that Depp abused her as "false accusations," arguing that her testimony is "dangerous" in a series of tweets.

"Johnny Depp has not been charged or tried in a court of law," Ellis says in one tweet. "He is beloved in the industry. Amber Heard knew exactly what she was doing when she set out on legal maneuvers 6 years ago. She is universally detested in the industry. She is on trial ~ a jury will decide her fate."

Pointing out how he's been supporting Depp since the allegations were first made public, Ellis also said, "I’m proud to have very publicly stood beside Johnny Depp for 6 years during his very public defenestration. Integrity is earned in turmoil, not merely asserted in comfort. I love you brother. As does your family, friends & millions of supporters around the world."

"There are more Harvey’s to flush out. There are more Amber’s 2 hold accountable," another tweet reads. "An ongoing cultural conversation on Predation AND Defenestration in Hollywood is necessary. A much broader national conversation on the Cartel of Family Law is imperative. Our children deserve it."

He added, "Astonishing, devastating, familiar stories coming in to me today. All with the same theme - false allegations are a pernicious in our society, and those who make them MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. All of them. Every single last one."

During the trial, Johnny Depp alleged that he was fired from his role as Captain Jack Sparrow due to the negative publicity generated by Amber Heard's allegations. The actor said he felt so betrayed by the firing that he could never revisit that franchise again, even if Disney were to hypothetically come back around and offer him "$300 million and a million alpacas." Last year, Greg Ellis spoke about how it was unfair for the fans that the Captain Jack character did not get proper closure.

"I think for Pirates 6...in an ideal world, every character who the fans have fallen in love with will be able to come back to kind of wrap everything up," Ellis said. "Ultimately it comes down to screenplay and story. If Jack Sparrow isn't a key, if not the key element, to wrapping up a multi-billion-dollar franchise, is it not akin to not having Captain Kirk in [the original] Star Trek?"

More recently, Depp stated during his trial, "My feeling was that these characters should be able to have their proper goodbye, as it were. A franchise can only last for so long and there's a way to end a franchise like that and I thought that the characters deserved to have their way out, to end the franchise on a very good note. I planned on continuing until it was time to stop."
