We know that director James Gunn is currently in Atlanta, starting pre-production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, with principal photography slated to begin in February 2016. There is still very little we know about the story thus far, but the filmmaker has revealed that fans will learn the identity of Star-Lord's (Chris Pratt) father in this follow-up, and that it will not be the same character as in the comics, J'son. While promoting his new film Burnt, Guardians of the Galaxy star Bradley Cooper was asked who the villain of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be, and he gave a very interesting response. Be warned, there will be potential SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

"But Josh Brolin's the villain, right? Or he's the main villain, no? He was in the first one. He played what's his name's dad."

Bradley Cooper never identifies "what's his name" as Chris Pratt's beloved character Star-Lord, but he goes on to describe a scene where Thanos turns around and says "You messed up, son, you think I'm going to answer to you." It's possible that he's referring to a scene between Thanos and Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace), but those two characters are not related. While some may think that the actor is revealing a spoiler from the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 screenplay, James Gunn released a brief statement on his Twitter page, revealing that Bradley Cooper hasn't revealed any spoilers.

"In response to all the stories coming out, Bradley Cooper didn't reveal anything. He just got the script and hasn't read it yet. I promise."

Vin Diesel recently revealed that he has read the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Chris Pratt teased this summer that the story brought him to tears, but it seems that Bradley Cooper hasn't read the script quite yet. It was revealed in the first movie that Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) are Thanos' daughters. In the Marvel Comics, the Mad Titan did have a son named Thane, but it isn't known if there are plans to introduce him into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Vin Diesel (Groot), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon) and Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) are returning for the sequel, with Pom Klementieff signing on last week as the first new cast member. It has been rumored that the actress will be playing Mantis, but that has not been confirmed. In the comics, Mantis became a primary counselor for the Guardians, and she also had close ties to Thanos as well.

James Gunn is directing the sequel from his own screenplay, with Kevin Feige set to produce. While we wait for more details on this highly-anticipated sequel, take a look at Bradley Cooper's video interview where he seemingly drops the big spoiler, although it's clear that he is quite confused about what he is actually revealing. You can also take a look at James Gunn's tweet, where he denies that the actor actually revealed a huge spoiler.
