Following yesterday's news that Marvel has cast Kevin Michael Richardson and Trevor Devall to voice Groot and Rocket in Disney XD's Guardians of the Galaxy animated TV show, the studio announced today that Will Friedle and David Sobolov will provide the voices of Star-Lord and Drax the Destroyer. Those characters were portrayed by Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista in last year's Guardians of the Galaxy blockbuster movie.

The series stars Peter Quill as Star-Lord, the brash adventurer who, to save the universe from its greatest threats, joins forces with a quartet of disparate misfits - fan-favorite Rocket Raccoon, a tree-like humanoid named Groot, the enigmatic, expert fighter Gamora and the rough-edged warrior Drax the Destroyer. The Marvel Animation series is executive produced by Alan Fine (Marvel's The Avengers, Iron Man, Thor), Dan Buckley (Avengers Assemble, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.), Joe Quesada (Avengers Assemble) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

Both Marvel and Disney XD will be announcing new voice cast members throughout the week. Gamora is currently the only Guardian who has yet to be announced, but we still don't know what characters will be the villains in this animated series. The series will premiere in 2015 on the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD, although the network has yet to reveal a specific premiere date yet.
