As most fans already know, Easter eggs are one of the truly fun and distinguishing elements of movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Perhaps nobody took advantage of putting Easter eggs in their movie like James Gunn did with Guardians of the Galaxy. However, there is still one huge Easter egg that nobody has found, at least according to the director, and now he has put up a lot of money to assure a fan how serious he is.

Yesterday, James Gunn decided to do a Q&A on his Facebook page, something he often does. Another thing that often happens these days is fans asking about that final Easter egg. When a fan claimed the Easter egg didn't exist and that James Gunn was being the "ultimate troll," he decided to show just how serious he was, to the tune of $100,000. Here is what James Gunn had to say.

"Tanin Moores If there is no Easter egg I will give you a hundred thousand dollars - copy this post - I will consider it a legally binding contract - signed, James Gunn."

If there is one thing James Gunn is, it is dedicated to his fans. So, having said what he said, it is almost a sure thing he would pay up were it revealed that this final, mystery Guardians of the Galaxy Easter egg was, in fact, a big exercise in trolling. But there is no way he would put up that kind of money so publically and go so far as to say it is "legally binding" if he were trolling. That is too risky. Unfortunately for Tanin Moores, that $100 thousand probably won't be in his future. So, fans are just going to have to keep looking for that final Easter egg. Easier said than done at this point.

A ton of Guardians of the Galaxy Easter eggs have already been found. Some of the bigger ones include Cosmo, the Russian cosmonaut space dog who was a member of the Guardians team in the comics, The Collector's trophy room, which held Adam Warlock's cocoon and a whole slew of other Easter eggs, and tons of pop culture references. James Gunn has made it clear he has no plans on revealing the Easter egg and hasn't even hinted at what it could possibly be. Maybe he will eventually cave during the press tour for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 next year.

Most of the principal cast from the first Guardians of the Galaxy are coming back for Vol. 2. Returning are Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket. The sequel has also added a ton of new talent, including Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell and Elizabeth Debicki. We also know that Karen Gillan is returning as Nebula and Michael Rooker is coming back as Yondu. It is unclear how many Easter eggs James Gunn will add in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but no doubt, they will be present. You can check out the Facebook post for yourself below.
