Over the weekend, producer Kevin Feige was busy promoting Marvel's upcoming superhero adventure Ant-Man, and he also offered an update on one of the studio's upcoming Phase Three projects, Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The Marvel Studios president confirmed a report from April that production begins in February or March of next year, while seemingly revealing the official title for this sequel. Here's what Kevin Feige had to say, letting this important piece of info out of the bag.

"We start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 in February-March 2016."

When asked later in the interview if he had just revealed the official title, Kevin Feige wouldn't confirm or deny, but it would make sense, in some ways. You may recall that the official Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack was entitled Awesome Mix Vol. 1, so it's possible that Marvel could be using the same tactic when titling the sequel. Speaking of the soundtrack, director James Gunn revealed in April that the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 soundtrack will be even better than the first, which went platinum, selling over 1 million copies worldwide.

Writer-director James Gunn recently completed the screenplay, and Marvel has already started casting for new characters. One of these new roles will be featured alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy team of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper). There is very little we know about the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 story thus far, but it is believed that fans will learn the true identity of Star-Lord's father. What do you think of the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 title?
