The summer movie season is currently in full swing, but many Marvel fans are likely only interested in one upcoming comic book adaptation, Guardians of the Galaxy. Fans will get their first real glimpse of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel) in action on August 1, but according to a new report, another character will be teased during a post-credits sequence. There may be spoilers that follow for this Marvel Phase Two adventure, so read on at your own risk.

Latino Review reports that the Human Rocket himself, Nova (a.k.a. Richard Rider), will make an appearance, played by none other than Firefly and Castle star Nathan Fillion.

The site could not get confirmation that Nathan Fillion will portray Nova, but it wouldn't be too surprising, since the actor appeared in both of Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn's previous features, Slither and Super.

No details were given for how Nova fits into the story, and the news has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios at this time. The character will only be seen during the post-credits scene, and could be wearing a helmet. So if Nathan Fillion is playing Nova, there is a chance that, like Thanos, the character will be recast at some point down the road.
