The heroes of Guardians of the Galaxy can't have all the fun. Marvel and Disney have released three new character posters that focus on the bad guys.

Here, we see main villain Ronan the Accuser, as played by Lee Pace, who is after Peter Quill for stealing a mysterious orb that contains one of the universe's most well-guarded secrets. We also see Nebula, played by Karen Gillan, who has a personal vendetta out against fellow assassin Gamora. And Korath, played by Djimon Hounsou, who is in hot pursuit of Star-Lord for reasons of his own.

Will they get what's coming to them this August, when Guardians of the Galaxy opens wide across the cosmos? Or will they keep that upper hand firmly in place?

An action-packed, epic space adventure, the movie expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.

To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits-Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand-with the galaxy's fate in the balance.
