According to Deadline New York, Guillermo del Toro's next film will be At the Mountains of Madness. This is an adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft tale.

The film will be shot in 3D for Universal Pictures and James Cameron will come aboard as a producer. James Cameron is being choosy about what 3D projects he aligns himself with, but he made an exception due to his respect for del Toro. Also, it is Cameron's involvement that helped convince Universal to go with this project.
