Universal Pictures has handed out a February 5, 2016 release date for Hail Caesar, the latest from filmmakers Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. The film currently doesn't have any direct competition, but it comes one week before four high-profile releases on February 12, 2016, 20th Century Fox's Deadpool, Lionsgate's Gods of Egypt, Warner Bros.' How to Be Single and Universal's Untitled Pets Project.

Hail Caesar is set in 1950s Hollywood, following a "fixer" named Eddie Mannix, who works for all of the major Hollywood studios, trying to keep their movie stars out of scandalous situations. The story takes place over one single day, showing all of the problems he has to fix in just 24 hours. The all-star cast includes George Clooney, Josh Brolin, Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Scarlett Johansson and Jonah Hill.

Joel Coen and Ethan Coen are directing from their own screenplay, with Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner producing for Working Title films, alongside the filmmakers. No production schedule was given at this time.
