Hailee Steinfeld had her breakout role in the 2010 film True Grit. Afterward, she continued to become more involved in big-budget movies, such as Pitch Perfect 2 and Pitch Perfect 3. In the musical franchise of ensemble women characters, Steinfeld played Emily Junk, a Barden Bellas legacy and bright-eyed, exciting addition to the a cappella group. Her role in the Pitch Perfect franchise even boosted her music career. Steinfeld also played the lead character, Charlie, in the Transformers spinoff, Bumblebee and the lead in the coming-of-age drama The Edge of Seventeen.

However, Steinfeld did not just become known for her work in films. She also became a household name for her work on streaming television shows, like Dickinson on Apple TV+ and Hawkeye on Disney+. Steinfeld plays a lead role in both shows, each of which is vastly different in genre as one is a comedic historical tale of the poet Emily Dickinson's life, and the other is a Marvel action thriller. Throughout her career, Steinfeld has been involved in several genres of movies and television shows. Her range from drama to comedy has given her the ability to take on a variety of roles and characters. Steinfeld's best roles are a culmination of action, adventure, comedy, and drama.

4 Hawkeye

Hawkeye Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop
Marvel Studios
Disney

Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton might hold the title, but Steinfeld's Kate Bishop may have stolen the show. In Hawkeye, Clint is still reeling from bringing his family back from the blip and losing his best friend, Natasha, in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame. But when Kate unknowingly dons his Ronin outfit, he is forced to resume hero work to protect her from the enemies he had made. Kate is a fresh and new addition to the Marvel world and easily holds up the quippy and comedic dialogue that the Marvel characters are known for having. Since Kate seems to be the only person in the world whose favorite Avenger is Hawkeye, it gives the duo a fun dynamic as Kate insists on talking to Clint about his branding problem, which effectively speaks to a Forbes article that argues how out of place Hawkeye is in the MCU now. Kate also becomes one of the highlights of the series through her moments with Yelena Belova.

3 Dickinson

The series follows her desire to write, her relationship with Sue, and the conflicts with her family leading into the Civil War. However, Dickinson does most of it in a comedic tone, using current-day dialogue, references, and background music to differentiate it from other historical series or films.

Mattie's quest is also joined by Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, who also wishes to catch Tom Chaney.
