With so many other superhero characters from years past returning in all-new movies and TV shows, could Halle Berry be brought back into the fray? Back in the early 2000s, Berry was making her mark in the world of comic book adaptations with major roles in different franchises. In 2000, she made her debut in the X-Men universe as Ororo Munroe, aka the weather-changing mutant Storm. Four years later, she took on an iconic DC character with the titular role in 2004's Catwoman.

It is not outside the realm of possibility that we could see Berry return to one or even both of these roles someday. The actress was recently asked if she's still open to revisiting either Storm or Catwoman if Marvel or DC were to give her the call. Per ComicBook.com, here's what Berry had to say in response.

"I would revisit any of them, actually. I loved all of those characters and I was always grateful to get to play them and be a part of those big franchises, you know? So I would revisit any of them."

Berry did get the chance to play Storm on several occasions by reprising the role in many sequels. She was last seen in that role in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past. While that timeline has been closed with plans to reboot the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the door is open for the original X-Men movie universe characters to appear now that the live-action multiverse has been established in the MCU. There are even rumors of other X-Men characters appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Halle Berry Is Also Open to Directing a New Catwoman Movie

Catwoman might be trickier for Halle Berry to revisit as the movie is not exactly looked back at fondly by most DC fans. In part because of its drastic departure from Catwoman's more traditional backstory, the 2004 film was a dud that's infamous for its bad reviews. This would make the odds of a Catwoman sequel seem nearly impossible by this point, but the character could still appear somewhere in the DCEU. The Flash will similarly bring back famous DC characters from various timelines such as Michael Keaton's Batman, so anything is possible.

Berry is also open to directing a new Catwoman movie, even if it's a new take that's not connected to the 2004 film. The actress has been trying her hand as a director, as seen with the Netflix release of the MMA movie Bruised. Now that she's a director, she's openly said how she'd like to take another crack at Catwoman from the creative side of things.

"I would love to direct Catwoman," she revealed on the YouTube show Jake's Takes. "If I can get ahold of that now, knowing what I know, having this experience and reimagine that world the way I reimagined this story. Bruised was written for a white Irish catholic, like 25-year-old girl. I got to reimagine it. I wish I could go back and reimagine Catwoman and have a re-do on that."

She added, "I would have Catwoman saving the world like most male superheroes do, and not just saving women from their faces cracking off. You know, I would make the stakes a lot higher. I think make it more inclusive of both men and women."
