Deadline Hollywood has reported that pre-production on Halloween 3D, which was to start shooting in November, has slowed down and is now set for an October 2010 release.

Todd Farmer's script was turned in on Friday, however, Bob Weinstein of Dimension Films decided the project is being unnecessarily rushed in an effort to work around director Patrick Lussier's schedule. Lussier is set to start Drive Angry, starring Nicolas Cage, in January.

Now Dimension Films is going to wait until Lussier is free so they can take their time with the project. The October release can't hurt either.
