A new image has been revealed from the upcoming horror sequel Halloween Ends. The photo comes from a new list from USA Today previewing new movies coming out this fall, and among them is a Halloween Ends photo revealing a sneak peek at the final battle between Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney). Things don't look too good in the photo for Laurie, but given how much she has already survived, fans know not to count her out just yet.

The film brings back Laurie Strode for one more battle with Michael Myers. Also returning for the sequel is director David Gordon Green after directing 2018's Halloween and its follow-up film Halloween Kills. The new movie was co-written by Green, Paul Brad Logan, Chris Bernier, and Danny McBride. Along with Curtis and Courtney, the film stars Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Rohan Campbell, and Kyle Richards.

It is true that Halloween Ends was developed as the final chapter of a trilogy with the intention of concluding a story. It's also going to most likely be the final Halloween movie to feature Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. But that does not mean this will be the last we will see of Michael Myers, as the Halloween series will undoubtedly continue on as long as the films keep making money at the box office.

"I didn't expect there to be a sequel [to Halloween ‘78]," John Carpenter recently told ComicBook.com. "The movie business is ruled by money. [The first] Halloween made so much money, here they came again, the same guys [saying], 'Hey John, let's do another one.' I guarantee you if Halloween Ends makes a lot of money, guess what? Just guess what."

Halloween Ends will premiere in theaters and on Peacock on Oct. 14, 2022. You can check out an official trailer and synopsis below.

Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
