According to Unofficialhammerfilms.com, Hammer Horror is going back into production in the next few weeks. They are gearing up to shoot Beyond the Rave, the first full-length feature to be produced by the company in twenty years.
The project will be a full-fledged vampire flick, which was cast on August 16th and 17th. The film will be shot on 35mm stock, and will also be released episodically on the internet.
The plot will be a reworking of Dracula A.D. 1972, which saw Nosferatu enjoying the club scene in the early 70s. The vampire threat will be linked to the drug-addled rave culture in this new version of the story. Rick Warden has been cast in the role of Strigioli, with Melanie Light attached to the project as an art director.
To date, there has been no formal announcement about the film's production.
