Our first look at Solo will drop today during the Super Bowl. It's been revealed that the teaser spot will air either during the first block of commercials or the second quarter of the game, with the latter seeming more logical. Lucasfilm is set to release the full trailer on Good Morning America tomorrow morning and a Super Bowl 2018 teaser has been rumored for weeks. With 30-second ads starting at $5 million, Disney and Lucasfilm may have spent a little bit more to finally show us what we've all been waiting for.

A new report suggests that our first look at Solo: A Star Wars Story will be 45 seconds long, but it isn't clear when exactly it will air, though the second quarter seems to be the obvious choice to debut the first footage from the young Han Solo movie. Other than that, details are scarce. With an ad that's 45 seconds long, we will more than likely get our first look at Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo unless the teaser trailer focuses on other characters first before the official trailer drops tomorrow.

Fans have been waiting months to see any official footage from Solo: A Star Wars Story after many false reports of a trailer announcement. The only official promotional material that we have seen is the artwork for the LEGO sets from the movie as well as the logo and title. Other than that, Disney and Lucasfilm have done a remarkable job keeping details about the movie under wraps. Some fans have speculated that we haven't seen any footage because the movie is reportedly terrible, but that's just the hardcore Star Wars fan frame of mind post The Last Jedi and Rogue One.

It seems that the Star Wars fans who have already made up their mind that the movie sucks are the ones who are looking forward to the first footage more than anybody, which is strange, but makes complete sense when one thinks of Star Wars fandom. No matter what, Solo: A Star Wars Story is set up to be trashed by the all-knowing super fans, even before seeing the movie. The new teaser today mixed with the first official trailer tomorrow will go a long way in either putting fears to rest or confirming the worst of fears for a certain section of the fan base.

We're getting our first look at footage from Solo: A Star Wars Story and this alone is reason to turn on Super Bowl 2018. Never mind Skyscraper and Mission: Impossible 6, this is Star Wars that we're talking about. Perhaps the only trailer that will outdo the Solo trailer is the Dundee commercial that has been going viral for the last handful of weeks, but even then, this is the mighty Star Wars. Get ready for the first footage from Solo: A Star Wars Story dropping in a few short hours.
