Things are heating up intensely as we near May 4, universally known as Star Wars Day. Everyone seems pretty confident that J.J. Abrams will announce the Star Wars: Episode VII cast, as a /is-a-big-star-wars-7-announcement-coming-may-4th/big reveal is being teased leading up to this Sunday. Earlier today, /star-wars-7-news-coming-as-harrison-ford-carrie-fisher-and-mark-hamill-are-spotted-in-london/the original cast was spotted in London, including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford. Now comes the surprising word that Han Solo will have a gigantic role in the first of this planned trilogy.
This is surprising because many assumed Harrison Ford would be appearing in a glorified cameo. Of course, no story details have been released, but apparently J.J. Abrams is bringing the cast all together tomorrow for the very first table read.
Who else is in the cast besides the original trilogy stars? Well, a new name has been added to the ever-growing list of rumored actors. Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac is said to have joined the highly anticipated sequel. And its being all but confirmed that previously rumored actors Adam Driver, playing one of the new trilogy's main Sith Villains, and John Boyega, playing a Jedi apprentice, will be at the table read. Also said to have joined the cast in one of the new female lead roles is Maisie Richardson Sellers, an Oxford trained actress.
Of course, none of this has yet been confirmed by Disney and LucasFilm. Its possible that an official press release may be issued before Sunday.
