Now that the traditional TV season is wrapped up, the summer season is about to kick into gear. After debuting in the late spring for the past two seasons, NBC's Hannibal has moved to the summer months, with the third season debuting Thursday, June 4 at 8 PM ET. Today we have a new trailer for Hannibal Season 3, along with an extended preview that gives us our first look at the Red Dragon himself, Francis Dollarhyde (Richard Armitage). While the trailer only offers brief glimpses of footage, with Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) and Bedilia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) enjoying their Italian residency, the preview offers even more details about the upcoming season.

The dark and haunting series Hannibal returns for a third season, revealing the fates of characters hanging in the balance, and their continuing psychological cat-and-mouse games. After the shocking events of the season finale, Hannibal is on the run in Europe - accompanied by his psychiatrist Bedelia Du Maurier - sporting a new identity, but servicing the same insatiable appetite. As we can see in the featurette, Hannibal and Bedelia's relationship is strained, at best, as Hugh Dancy explains that Hannibal's world has been shaken after Will Graham managed to deceive him.

Of course, Will chases after Hannibal in Europe, and Bedelia even mentions that it's practically set in stone that Hannibal will eventually be caught. We also hear from Laurence Fishburne (Jack), Caroline Dhavernas (Alana), who both, along with Will, converge toward Hannibal again, their deadly dance turns in startling and unexpected ways, and nothing will ever be the same again. Check out the featurette and trailer below, before Hannibal returns Thursday, June 4 at 8 PM ET on NBC.
