Last month, Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller revealed that there have been talks with Netflix and Amazon to revive the series, which is currently airing its third and final season on NBC after the network canceled the show last month. Earlier today, Bryan Fuller offered an update, explaining that both Netflix and Amazon have passed on picking up Hannibal. Here's what he had to say in a brief statement on his Twitter page today.

"I'm sorry to report @amazon and @netflix have passed on Hannibal Season 4 but we're still investigating possibilities."

Unfortunately, it isn't known what these other "possibilities" are for reviving the show, but both Netflix and Amazon would have been the two best bets for the show to live on after its cancellation. One of these possibilities could be Yahoo! Screen, which brought Community back from the dead after it was canceled by NBC last year, just before the options on cast members expired. It isn't known how long Bryan Fuller and the rest of his producers have to find a new home for Hannibal, but we'll keep you posted as soon as more updates become available.

NBC will continue to air the remaining Season 3 episodes of Hannibal on Thursday nights at 10 PM, with the season finale set to air on August 27.
