Hanway Films has bought the rights to Evelyn Waugh's classic novel, Brideshead Revisited.

Directed by Julian Jarrold and written by Andrew Davies and Jeremy Brock, the story follows Charles Ryder, an Oxford student in the 1930s, who becomes entangled with a family of Catholic aristocrats, first becoming friends with the alcoholic son, then falling in love with the daughter, says Variety.

No cast has been attached; Brideshead Revisited will likely begin production this spring.
