Earlier today, we reported that director Matthew Vaughn is rumored to direct the highly-anticipated sequel Star Wars: Episode VII. Since this will take place after Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, there is the possibility that Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher could return as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia. While no deals are in place yet, an insider reveals that all three actors are optimistic about returning for Star Wars: Episode VII. Here's what a 'highly-placed source' had to say.

"Harrison is open to the idea of doing the movie and he's upbeat about it, all three of them are."

Ironically, Harrison Ford's Han Solo was originally supposed to die in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, although those plans were scrapped because Han Solo's action figure was a top seller. It was also revealed that Harrison Ford won't enter negotiations until there is a screenplay and a director in place.
