Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ride is finally open at Universal Studios Florida. While it's open, that doesn't mean Harry Potter fans are able to get right on it and start busting out spells. The new ride has posted wait times up to ten hours and some hardcore fans are waiting in line for that long in order to get a chance to experience it. The ride is located in the Islands of Adventure part of the theme park and it took two years to construct and costs over $300 million.

Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure features nearly a mile of track, seven launches, and a 17-foot vertical free-fall drop. Social media footage of the ride makes it look like a lot of fun and Harry Potter fans are lining up to get their chance. The ride first opened yesterday and the ten-hour waiting was what welcomed park visitors. However, by midday, the wait was only five hours, which is also pretty long. Making matters worse, fans also had to deal with a few delays due to lightning, which is common in Florida during this time of year. Some of the even more hardcore fans waited overnight to get a chance to be the first on board.

The new ride took over the beloved Dueling Dragon coaster and people were not happy about it at first. But, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is more than making up for it now. It was originally thought that since the ride is family-friendly, that there wouldn't be any drops or significant speed. However, those initial thoughts have been proven to be wrong since the coaster looks pretty intense at times. Guests are able to choose between riding Hagrid's famous motorcycle or getting in the sidecar.

Universal Studios Florida is stepping up their game as Disney World prepares to launch Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The new addition of the theme park is already open at the California park and it's doing some major business. For the first month, fans are only able to visit the Star Wars area of the theme park with a reservation, which of course sold out in a matter of hours. It is not clear of Disney World will go about it the same way in terms of reservations to cut down on wait times and make the day as enjoyable as possible.

For now, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ride is exclusive to the Orlando theme park. There are currently no plans to bring it to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in California, so if you would like to wait five hours in line, battle lightning, rain, humidity, and mosquitos, head to Orlando. Either that or just wait for another time to visit the park, but make sure it's not during hurricane season. Florida likes to make it a challenge and Harry Potter fans are excepting it and going for the gusto. The ten-hour wait times for Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was first reported by CNN. You can check out some footage of the ride below.
