Jam City and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today that six actors from the Harry Potter franchise will return to reprise their roles in the upcoming mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Dame Maggie Smith will return as Professor McGonagall, along with Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore and Warwick Davis as Professor Flitwick. Jam City and Warner Bros. also debuted new images of these actors, alongside their avatars representing how their characters will be seen in the game. Here's what Dame Maggie Smith had to say in a brief statement.

"If I could attend Hogwarts as a student, I would be most excited to attend the potions class taught by Severus because it is the most exotic."

Other Harry Potter stars returning for this game are Sally Mortemore (Madam Irma Pince), Gemma Jones (Madam Pomfrey) and Zoe Wanamaker (Madam Hooch). Jam City and Warner Bros. also confirmed that the global launch date for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be on April 25, with the mobile game available to download in the App Store and the Google Play store at that time. Here's what Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of Jam City, had to say in a statement.

"Our goal with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is to make players really feel for the first time like they're attending Hogwarts. By including these iconic and incredibly talented actors in the game, we come one step closer to truly giving fans their own Hogwarts experience."

There is no indication as of yet if any of the main Harry Potter stars such as Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) will return to provide their likeness and voice for this game. The mobile game has also recently confirmed that players will get to attend Hogwarts classes with a young Nymphadora Tonks, although there is no indication yet if actress Natalia Tena will provide her voice for the character. Fans will also get to see a much smaller, "puppy" version of Fang, the monstrous dog belonging to Rubeus Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) in this game.

We have also included a brief video from last month, which shows fans getting their first chance to play Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery during Harry Potter Celebration at Universal Studios Orlando. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be the first mobile game where players can experience what it's like to "attend" Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Players will be able to create their own character and attend classes where they'll hone their magical skills and form friendships and rivalries, with each decision impacting their character's story arc throughout their Hogwarts experience. The game includes a new "encounter system" that alters each character's arc based on every decision and action they make during the game.
