Known for his horror screenplays, Neal Marshall Stevens has just been hired by Studio 407 to create two new comic book series with the intent of turning them into feature films. According to Variety, the writer will pen issues of Havoc Brigade and Demon Squad with an eye on turning them into thematic franchises.

The first issue of Havoc Brigade will be released on March 25th, while Demon Squad will hit stores later in the year. Stevens decide to create the graphic novels first because, as he says, only one in ten of his screenplays ever make it to the big screen. He continued by saying, "I knew going in that the scripts that I wrote would actually be produced, and that the work would get in front of an audience."

If the comic books are a hit, expect to see the film adaptations within the next two years.
