Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) made a splash during her appearance in Marvel's Disney+ original series, Hawkeye. She already proved her originality by looking up to Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), a rarity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Throughout the series, Kate demonstrated her skills as an archer. Her quippy comments and charismatic attitude also showed how well she could fit into the MCU films. Her banter with Clint Barton and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) were highlights of the show. But, aside from a rumored appearance in Ant-Man 3, what MCU film would be a good fit for the new young archer? Perhaps a future Spider-Man movie.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ended in a fairly devastating place for Peter Parker (Tom Holland). He's lacking every friend and relative he has ever had, leaving him entirely alone. However, teaming up with Kate Bishop in an unexpected alliance may bring some amusement to a young hero who would likely need some cheering up. According to The Illuminerdi, Kate and Peter are two of the youngest Marvel heroes, which means they could relate to each other in ways the older Avengers may not. Their shared enthusiasm for hero work and worship of an Avenger could also bring them together in an entertaining way. Peter has seen the good and bad of hero work in bigger ways than Kate. However, a team-up between these two could create a world of opportunity for the MCU moving forward.

A Focus On Young Avengers

Experienced adults have mainly held up the MCU. However, what about the up-and-coming members? Tom Holland was initially introduced in Captain America: Civil War and was excitedly received by audiences in his portrayal of Spider-Man. Quick-witted with the awkwardness of being teenager was the perfect mix to bring to the otherwise grown-up film. It also helped kick off Peter's role in the MCU moving forward into the Spider-Man movies. However, other than working with Ned and MJ to help him out, Peter has always been the youngest Avenger. Kate's introduction changes things. With an age gap not as large as the adults that Peter usually teams up with, it could suggest a different story to unfold.

Peter and Kate both have some experience under their belts. However, this alliance could dive into their fighting abilities and skills without the helping hand of an experienced Avenger. It would give both of them the chance to show what they are capable of without going to someone else for help. With the MCU seemingly assembling the Young Avengers, it's a fitting partnership for the franchise.

Creating New Friendships Helps Both Characters

Kate Bishop is close friends with Miles Morales in the comics. Although Peter Parker is the MCU's Spider-Man, that does not mean that Kate and Peter can not re-create a version of that friendship. However, given Peter's predicament post-Spider-Man: No Way Home, he may be in need of some friends anyway. Having been forgotten by the world, Peter could likely need some sort of companion. Kate has only met Clint Barton, who has stated his wish to retire, and Yelena Belova, who is just as new to the overall MCU as Kate (not to mention somewhat more adversarial).

Although no one remembers Peter, the world is still familiar with Spider-Man. While the remaining Avengers do not know who is behind the mask, they may still have memories of fighting beside Spider-Man. If Kate Bishop were to appear in a future Spider-Man movie, perhaps it would give her a way to meet other Marvel heroes, allowing her to expand her circle beyond Clint.

An Intriguing New Dynamic

The MCU has introduced many exciting dynamics of unexpected friendships and alliances. So, would it be so out of the realm of possibility for Kate and Peter to interact? They both live in New York and could easily answer the same call for help, assuming they were both nearby. Each character is known for their witty dialogue and actions during the fighting. However, they also share a history of worshipping an Avenger. While Peter has taken after Tony Stark as an engineer, Kate has looked up to Hawkeye, becoming an archer.

Introducing the two characters could be amusing for Marvel fans. They are similar enough that they could verbally spar entertainingly. However, while Kate could still thoroughly enjoy every aspect of hero work, Peter may be slightly more reserved in some choices, given how things have gone for him. Placing Peter as the more experienced hero is a dynamic the MCU has not shown before, and it could suggest a slight sense of mentorship Peter could have toward Kate, even if she is older than him. Peter has not spent a lot of time with other superheroes around his age, even if Ned and MJ have helped him in the past. Kate can hold her own in a fight, giving the duo a dynamic of crime-fighting friends rather than worrying too much about the other getting hurt in combat.
